WATCH: Mac Jones goes deep, Damien Harris punches it in after set-up

Mac Jones is solidifying his standing in the offense for the New England Patriots.

Just two years removed from Tom Brady, the Patriots may have the guy that they’ve hoped for since Brady moved on to Tampa Bay in 2020.

So far during the 2021 season, Jones has thrown for 1,779 yards. Jones has thrown for touchdown nine times this season, compared to six interceptions.

In the preseason, Jones beat out former Auburn QB Cam Newton for the starting job in New England.

His deep-ball skills are his biggest question. Although it hasn’t been a reality in Jones’ rookie NFL season, Alabama fans are well aware of how great his deep throws are.

Early in the first quarter against the Los Angeles Chargers, Jones tossed a 44-yard bomb to WR Nelson Agholor.

Jones moved his offense within one yard of the end zone.

Jones made a handoff to fellow Alabama alum and former Crimson Tide RB Damien Harris, who would not disappoint.

Harris makes it six in a matter of seconds.
