WATCH: Are the Boston Celtics moving away from point guard Dennis Schroder?

Are the Boston Celtics quitting playing veteran point guard Dennis Schroder in games under head coach ImeUdoka ?

While the data suggesting so is a little more than speculative, we have observed that the German floor general’s part in two games has been smaller than for most of the season.

When Udoka was asked about his lesser role alongside Marcus Smart, the Celtics’ starting point guard in their last game against the New York Knicks on Monday, Udoka downplayed its significance. We did not see Schroder return to the court after Smart’s exit with a thigh contusion on Monday in Boston’s win against the Indiana Pacers.

The hosts of “The Garden Report”, a CLNS Media podcast, debated recently whether or not the Celtics’ coach had experienced enough late-game problems from Schroder. Or if they were just being more than they appeared.
