After some UFC action on Saturday afternoon, the combat sports community turned its attention towards the boxing ring in anticipation of the anticipated trio bout between Tyson Fury & Deontay wilder .

MMA fighters in particular had vested interest in the heavyweight championship fight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and they watched closely as Fury earned a 11th-round knockout victory over Wilder in an all-time classic war to go up 2-0 with one draw in the series.

See below for top Twitter reactions to Fury’s victory over Wilder in the Top Rank boxing competition.

Dillon Danis

tyson fury all the way you can’t kill a gypsy

— Dillon Danis (@dillondanis) October 10, 2021

Dustin Poirier

Deontay has been saying a legacy dies when the fighter dies. This is absurd. It is incorrect.

— The Diamond (@DustinPoirier) October 10, 2021

Cageside Press

Anthems done. Main event walkouts are coming up. Wilder apparently getting his gloves sorted out #FuryWilder3

— Cageside Press (@Cagesidepress) October 10, 2021

Oscar Willis

There’s an issue with Deontay Wilder’s gloves, so let’s not show that locker room on screen but the other guys

David Michaud

I’m gonna fall asleep here soon damn

— David Michaud (@bulldawg_170) October 10, 2021

Dan Rafael

This is why we love #boxing, for moments like this! I’ve covered big fights for 21 years and I still get butterflies in the moments before a huge fight and this is that. The world’s heavyweight champion. #FuryWilder3

— Dan Rafael (@DanRafael1) October 10, 2021

Alexandra Wendling

Heidi Androl killing the game with her insider tidbits! I only ever seen her on UFC broadcasts- where she is also great, but boxing is definitely her jam #FuryWilder3

— Alexandra (@AlexWendlingMMA) October 10, 2021

Marc Raimondi

Here comes Deontay Wilder wearing a costume designed by Cosmo Lombino and Donato Crowley, an homage to Wilder’s roots going back to Nigeria’s Edo Tribe. #FuryWilder3

Mike Jackson

Boxing entrances are the best. They then have to fight. #FuryWilder3

Skip Bayless

Yesterday on Undisputed, I picked Wilder to upset Fury. But I went with what Fury’s new trainer said – that Fury would weigh 20 more pounds than he did for the 2nd fight. Bad sign. YET: He weighed only 6 pounds more. I will stick with my pick, but it isn’t something that I love nearly as much.

— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) October 10, 2021

Luke Thomas

Fury’s entrance is unbelievably over the top and therefore perfect

— Luke Thomas (@lthomasnews) October 10, 2021

Ben Fowlkes

See, UFC wants us to be happy with Venom uniforms and minimal walkouts while meanwhile boxing is raiding the wardrobe for Hail, Caesar while also providing work to your town’s weirdest yoga instructor. pic.twitter.com/j1zcuup9qj

Wilder goes right at Fury with a body jab. He is going to the body early. Lands a right-hand. He continues to jab at the body. Set up his shots. Fury reading and waiting.

— Andreas Hale (@AndreasHale) October 10, 2021

Matthew Wells

Glad to see Wilder has a gameplan. I loved the body work in the beginning, but Fury got him to the end. #FuryWilder3

— Chris Mannix (@SIChrisMannix) October 10, 2021

— Andreas Hale (@AndreasHale) October 10, 2021
