The Baltimore Ravens have relied heavily on their practice squad players to make an impact throughout the 2021 season. Due to the many injuries the team has suffered, they have had to try multiple approaches to compensate for the loss of key contributors.
According to the NFL’s personnel note, the Ravens took care of four practice squad players on Tuesday. These players include quarterback Trace McSorley and running back Le’Veon Bell. They also include offensive tackle David Sharpe and defensive tackle Kahlil Mackenzie.
Ravens four practice squad protections this week: QB Trace McSorley, RB Le’Veon Bell, OT David Sharpe, DT Reginald McKenzie
If Villanueva can’t play Monday, Ravens would likely need to elevate 2 OTs from practice squad.

Bell, who was called up from practice last week, carried the ball four more times for 11 yardage against the Denver Broncos. McKenzie was called up to play snaps against the Detroit Lions, where Baltimore’s front seven were unavailable. Sharpe may be elevated to offensive tackle depth, but McSorley will not make it to the active roster unless Tyler Huntley or Lamar Jackson are injured.
