Ravens protect four players on practice squad ahead of Week 4
The Baltimore Ravens have relied on new players to make up the lost production from some of their star players who sustained multiple-week-end or season-ending injuries. Call ups from practice squad have had an important impact on some players, regardless of whether they were given a major role or were there to fill in for a specific position.

Baltimore covered four practice squad players ahead of their matchup against the Denver Broncos in Week 4.

Ravens provided four practice squad protections for OT Andre Smith and OLB Chris Smith. DB Kevon Smymour and DT Khalil McKenzie.

It’s unclear as to who will get called up at this point, but Andre Smith would provide offensive line depth, while McKenzie and Chris Smith could get game day call ups depending on how thin the Ravens’ front seven looks come Sunday. Seymour has been a defensive back backup in the wake Marcus Peters’ and Chris Westry’s injuries. DeShon Elliott’s status is unknown so the team may need more healthy backfield players.
