National reactions: Bills upset by Steelers at home

The Bills started their journey into the 2021 regular season on a dud. The Steelers were in town and handled the home team en route to a 23-16 win.

The Bills added a late field goal in order to make the game more close than it was. Other than a few flashes, the performance wasn’t very good for them. Both teams certainly earned national attention for their performance on Sunday afternoon.

Here are the national media reactions to Week 1’s Bills loss to Steelers:

Steelers defense includes a lot of DUDES

Rich Eisen, NFL Network

Biggest win of the day so far: @steelers going into Buffalo and winning a thumper, an excellent playoff tiebreaker to have in their back pocket the next 17 weeks.

Skip Bayless Undisputed

I’ve been stating all offseason that Roethlisberger’s Steelers will push Cleveland to the division title. They beat Buffalo at Buffalo. Ben was Bradyesque. Keep an eye out.

Nick Wright FOX Sports

Josh Allen needs to be able to obtain solid garbage time stats to improve his overall line. It is simply terrible. 26-47 for 229 yards, 1 TD, 0 INTs, 2 fumbles and a 75 rating.

Marcus Spears. ESPN

Hard to be hunted than to hunt #Bills

Ryan Clark, ESPN

What a catch by Johnson. The Steelers defense was amazing today. They kept them in the game, and now Ben can make crucial situational plays
