Finally, someone is dethroning Former first lady Imelda Marcos’s shoes collection and no, its not a first lady. Canadian singer and superstar Celine Dion has admitted to (hold your breath) owning 10,000 pairs of shoes, literally. Lets say that gain, 10,000 pairs of shoes.
The superstar joined British star James Corden in the front seat of his car during Monday’s primetime Carpool Karaoke special, where she made the confession. She admitted being a shoe hoarder and keeps them in a warehouse in Las Vegas. “I have a place in Las Vegas… let’s call it a warehouse,” she explained, adding that she has a system for organizing her shoes that sounds a lot like Cher Horowitz’s iconic wardrobe from Clueless. “It’s computerized, and I press a button and doors open and it’s all by colors,” she told an astonished Corden. “There was a whole system.”
And almost all of her shoe brands are Gucci, Brian Atwood, Christian Louboutin. Alexander McQueen, and Jimmy Choo. Knowing all these brands and how much they cost, we could say Celine’s shoe collection is of around $1.5 million or more.
When Corden revealed that they had some of her shoes in the car and were going to give the shoes away to random people on the street, Céline panicked, but she did it anyway.
Clearly When in doubt on what to buy a girl as a present, shoes are always a good idea.
Celine sang some of her greatest hits, including “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” “Because You Loved Me,” and “I Drove All Night.” The duo even performed her famous Titanic ballad “My Heart Will Go On” from inside the Bellagio fountain! halfway.
