Israel Adesanya breaks down Paulo Costa vs. Marvin Vettori – while roasting them: ‘I want to see my children do well’

With a glass of wine in his hand, and a slice of pizza on the table Israel Adesanya roasted his former foes in his latest fight breakdown.

Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori square off in the UFC Fight Night 196 main event Saturday. Adesanya was able to offer some insight after beating both men in backtoback title defenses.

Officially, “The Last Stylebender”, who took shots at both men and broke down their paths to victory, had some fun. He started with Vettori, whom he’s beaten twice, most recently in a lopsided unanimous decision at UFC 263 in June.

“Vettori is the biggest opponent in this fight, Adesanya stated. “That block head, that LEGO block head. He can use that as his greatest weapon in this fight. He’s capable of taking a lot of punishment. His method of victory would be to take Costa to deep waters by wrestling him and then stalling or making him work. However, Vettori must be open to doing something more than just trying to stall .”

Adesanya believes that Costa is more “educated” than Vettori, and should use his aggressive nature to fight.

“Costa’s route to victory in this fight Get him out of there early. Do what you did to get you here, but you aren’t fighting me. Vettori has sh*t footwork and is even worse than you. Costa can do what he does, bullrush him, bulldoze. Be careful with the takedowns, Vettori will try to time it to take him down. He has good counter-wrestling and good defense, as I mentioned.

” I want my children to succeed. I wish my children and my kid the best.
