‘FIFA 22’: How to make coins fast in FUT

We’re going to break this advice into sections for time-poor or time-rich because everyone plays the game differently. For people with limited time, our main recommendation is to choose activities that consistently generate coins. Playing matches is the first.

To earn packs (distributed every Thursday at 4 a.m.), you only need to win three Division Rivals games each week.

To earn some packs, you only need to win three Division Rivals wins each week. These packs will be distributed on Thursdays at 4 a.m. ET. Just make sure not to get promoted, because EA has removed relegation for FIFA 22, and it will take you longer to bag the wins if you’re actually being challenged!

Squad Wars is another great source of coins. To earn Gold 1 rewards, which are distributed Sunday at 4:05 a.m. ET, it takes around three hours of gameplay. ET) you must play on Professional difficulty to earn Gold 1 rewards (distributed Sunday at 4 a.m.).

In terms of trading options, keep an eye on high-end fodder, by which we mean rare gold cards rated 86 and above. These cards will drop in value so make sure to buy some for your transfer list. 86-rated cards for under 7k is a good look, or 87s for under 10k. These will rise as EA releases Squad Building Challenges that require high-rated squads. In years gone by, the end of November saw fodder prices rise precipitously, and while the market in FIFA 22 is behaving a little differently, we still think this is a no-brainer for anyone who is happy to invest and wait.

You should also get into the game at 5:01 a.m. ET on Thursday or Sunday, one hour following the Squad Battles and Div Rivals rewards. When people open their rewards, they list up valuable cards but often fail to set a lowest bid price, meaning that a card worth 10k may be open to bids starting at 700 coins. This would normally be noted by other players and drive the price up. However, during heavy supply times, many auctions close at the same moment that low bids can often slip through.

Jumping onto the market an hour after people opened their rewards and placing low bids on a lot of cards at once will maximize your chance of being one of the lucky ones. Targeting cards such as the fodder players is a good idea. They will be packed a lot during reward times and can then be sold or kept until the SBC arrives, which makes them even more valuable.

If you have more time to spend trading, then there are plenty of time-intensive ways to earn big coins in FIFA 22. We will reiterate, however, that just playing the game can earn you coins. You can get some great packs at the higher tiers if you smash down Squad Battles. You can grind Rivals to get Rank 1 rewards, regardless of which division you’re in. Even if you aren’t planning to enter FUT Champions yet, you should ensure that you AFK all Playoffs games in order to claim your packs.

Trading is our favorite thing to do. We love trading Chemistry Style and Position Change. It is possible to find popular cards with valuable Chemistry Styles and Position Changes, but they are being sold at the same price as the default card. Then, relist them at a cost that includes the Chem Style or Pos Change. For example, you might see that Road to the Knockouts Issa Diop is changing hands for 32k. Use the Transfer Market search filters to see what the price is with a Shadow Chem Style applied – it’s probably 36k or thereabouts, because Shadow Chem Styles cost 4-5k.

Next, search for the card at a lower cost with Shadow applied. If you are using the in-game Transfer Market, adjust your “Max Buy Now” search price to just under 36k so that your search results show less than one page of cards. Scroll down to the end and click “Compare Price”, then hit circle/B to go back. This will refresh the search results. Check to see if there are any new Diops that have Shadow. As soon as you see one that is 34k or under, buy it and relist at 36k. (Remember that you will lose 5% of the sale price in transaction tax, so make sure to calculate your margins. )

If you are using the Companion App or Web App, the Compare Price trick doesn’t work, but if you change the “Min Price” (top option) from “Any” to 150, then 200, 250, etc, for each subsequent search, then you will make sure the app is fetching fresh data and not just showing you the same cached results page each time.

Sniping cards this way can be time-consuming and laborious, but if you find the right card and filter, the coins can really begin to stack up. You’ll be able to work faster if you have a podcast or streaming audio to listen to. For Position Changes, the best Chemistry Styles to use are Hunter and Shadow. However, it is worth looking at strikers (ST), who have been converted into CM or CDM or CM/CDMs which have been converted into ST. These cards are expensive, but the position changes are very useful for squad building.

When deciding which players you want to play with, think about the most sought-after cards. We have had good luck with promo cards in the past (hence Issa Diap, who was new at the time). However, any meta card will work, especially Mondays, when people sell their Weekend League teams.
