Lonzo has been fantastic for the Bulls all season long playing his role on both ends of the floor, and he continued that in Friday’s win. Ball finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals on 4-of-7 shooting, all from 3-point range.
Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan have quickly learned how to play together at an elite level, and that continued to show true against the Magic on Friday. As elite of a scorer that LaVine is, not having the entire offense on his shoulders has opened everything up for the Bulls.
DeRozan, DeRozan, DeRozan. The man has shown up in Chicago and has helped turned this team into a serious playoff threat come April and May. As stated above, the rate at which DeRozan and LaVine have gelled together offensively has been nothing short of impressive, as well as their effort on the defensive end.
Nikola Vucevic, who is still playing himself back into true game shape after missing several games with COVID, played well against his former team, finishing with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists. Though he hasn’t fully found his groove this season on the offensive end, Vooch is always a threat for Billy Donovan.
Coby White had his best game of the season by far on Friday night, finishing with 20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor. White is still adjusting to his role off the bench and coming back from his shoulder surgery but Friday was the first true glimpse of what he showed last season.
