The Chicago Bears will open their 2021 NFL Season with a prime-time match against the Los Angeles Rams Sunday Night Football. There are many storylines to watch.
Perhaps this is the most surprising one, but it’s not surprising. Andy Dalton will start the Bears season as the quarterback, despite Justin Fields pushing for him to do so. Fields could be argued to have made a strong case to be the starter right from the beginning.
The preseason saw
Chicago struggle to find any momentum from its starting offense. They scored six points in eight preseason possessions, totaling 144 yards and had just four first downs.
The Bears are early underdogs at 7.5 points against the Rams. It’s easy to understand why, given the questions surrounding cornerbacks on defense and concerns about offense.
The Rams have plenty of talent, starting with Aaron Donald, the reigning Defensive Player-of-the Year, and Jalen Ramsey, one of the best cornerbacks in the league. Former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, and ex-Bears edge rusher Leonard Floyd will be facing Chicago.
