Tennessee (4-3 SEC, 2-2 SEC) will face No. 4 Alabama (6-1 and 3-1 SEC), Saturday, Week 8 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Kickoff will take place at 7 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.
Ahead Saturday’s contest, Stacey Blackwood from Roll Tide Wire previews Alabama.
Do you believe Alabama can win the SEC despite losing to Texas A&M in a close match?
Alabama has the talent to win SEC. Florida and Texas A&M had some problems on the home field, but it’s hard to back Nick Saban and his Crimson Tide.
Has Alabama’s defense been subject to a lot more uptempo offenses this year?
Not really. Alabama’s only opponent has been Ole Miss, which has shown a high tempo game. This will be a key area to watch this weekend. This is especially important early in the contest.
What are the strengths and weaknesses of Alabama’s defensive play through seven games?
It has been a weird season for the defense. They can look great in some moments, but they don’t always look on the same page in others. The defense, outside of Will Anderson Jr., and Phidarian Matis, has been really inconsistent, if I’m being honest. Anderson and Mathis are the strengths of the defense, but the weaknesses lie in the inconsistency among the nine other defenders.
